Anthony, is your car 4-spd or auto, auto is either 3:50 or 3:36, 4-spd could be 3:70 check the differential for numbers or date codes, they should be stamped somewhere on the unit, photos would be good.

I believe your car is the L48/4 speed combination. The “highway axle ratio” should be a 3.08 based on my research. Is your axle code AW?

Look at your car, not the paperwork.

That would be the RPO code, I think. The AW is what might be stamped on the rear end. However, I don’t see G95 listed as a 75 RPO code in my limited resources. I did see it listed as economy axle ratios on other years in the later 70’s.

Have you tried the old shade tree method of counting the driveshaft rotations per one rotation of a drive wheel?

                          I’m sticking with 3.08.

If your car is an automatic the G95 "highway" axle ratio should be 2.73:1. If you have a 4 speed a highway axle ratio was 3.08:1. Highway axle ratios were only available with the base engine. Highway ratios were not paired with the optional L82 engine.

                              Anthony

What is source of your dealer invoice?

Is GM original source, or is this a reproduction copy?

Can't find "G95" in my Parts Book RPO Code list.
