Canadian market LTI- A.I.R.?

I ran across a listing for a '71 LT-1 sold new in Canada. It didn't have any A.I.R. equipment on it.
The JG not-quite-definitively says export cars would have had A.I.R. Is that a safe bet?

As far as I know, ALL 1970-72 LT-1 were equipped with AIR regardless of where delivered.

Keep in mind that a lot of cars with AIR had those systems removed very early in their lives. If I were to encounter a 1970-72 LT-1 that was represented to be an original non-AIR, I'd look at it with a very jaundiced and skeptical eye. I'd look for any vestiges of a once-installed AIR system. Initially, the systems were removed without regard for left-behind vestiges. Of course, since restoration has come into vogue, much more effort is usually undertaken to "erase" such vestiges.

In the case of a 1971 LT-1, if it has engine suffix code "CGY" or "CGZ", then it definitely was originally equipped with AIR. Period.

Amen Joe !!!!!!!!. I have viewed, inspected, and judged many 70-72 LT-1 cars delivered here and in Canada and every single one that was believed to be mostly untouched all had AIR systems. As Terry always says, "there are no virgins". - Ron
