Re: January 20 Town Hall Zoom Meeting cancelled
Seems like the Board of Directors decision to cancel January 20th Town Hall Zoom meeting is short sighted.
Town Hall meetings at Regionals will only cover a very small number of NCRS members.

Re: January 20 Town Hall Zoom Meeting cancelled
While having a Town Hall at the end of the Regionals appears to be a good idea, I agree with Dave that the audience may not be as far reaching as membership needs. I cannot physically attend every Regional because of cost constraints. I’m certain I am not alone in that. The first one I plan to attend will be in June which is a long way off. Has anyone considered having the Regional Town Hall live on video so others may attend? That would open it up to a much larger audience.

Re: January 20 Town Hall Zoom Meeting cancelled
Agreed. In our situation, jobs and other commitments limit attendance at regional events for us so virtual is the way to go to stay up on things, and reach a wider audience. I'm not sure if it us an aversion to staying with the times in the 21st century, stubbornness, or what, but cancelling is not a good look imo ~ RyanWhile having a Town Hall at the end of the Regionals appears to be a good idea, I agree with Dave that the audience may not be as far reaching as membership needs. Re: January 20 Town Hall Zoom Meeting cancelled
I would like tto clarify this thread
The title should be postponed not cancelled
When the Town Hall was proposed by Shannon a few months ago I told her I would not be available.
I have attended Barrett Jackson in Scottsdale for many years .The last six years working in the NCRS booth there.
My Plane tickets and rooming has been set for months
In addition my PC needs to be set up and the accounts set up with ZOOM in order to have this meeting.
This would take a little time. There are very many moving pieces in running the NCRS.
The Board is moving to get the transition done as soon as possible
Thanks for the comments I will always try to answer all questions and concerns

Thanks Mark, so do you have an estimate of when the board will reschedule this National Town Hall Zoom Meeting? Will it happen before French Lick?Big Tanks In the High Mountains of New Mexico- Top

Re: January 20 Town Hall Zoom Meeting cancelled
Despite my resignation, I still offered to host this Town Hall meeting for the benefit of the Membership on my Zoom account.

Re: January 20 Town Hall Zoom Meeting Postponed
Thanks Mark. I'll be at the meeting in Florida!
There is no reason why members can't email their questions/concerns to you as the new NCRS President so that you can prepare for an upcoming meeting. There may be several members who want to ask basically the same questions. Rather than having the same questions being asked ten different times or ten different ways, you can field written questions in advance and address them before being asked during such in-person or online meetings.
I remember when Shannon was first elected President, her message was, "Let's pull together and move on!" That's good advice now too.
Best wishes to you on your new role as our President.

Re: January 20 Town Hall Zoom Meeting Postponed
Yes, in my many decades in large corporations, there is a natural tendency for surviving leadership to want to move on and pull together after a bad situation occurs. But since this is the second one in less than 2 years or so, I for one am left wondering what happened, why did it happen, and what is being done to not have it happen again soon. Perhaps specific questions related to what many of us saw in the 5+ hours of video will help with that. I do hope so.Big Tanks In the High Mountains of New Mexico- Top

Watch video of Board of Directors meeting - you might get a hint of our problems.
