It sounds to me like she is trying to destroy a male dominated club. I would love to know her political affiliation. Just to see if she hood winked us.

The young lady's recent and current actions are consistent with those of an unstable, immature, childish individual.

Furthermore, her actions are inconsistent with those of a leader.

Yes, you are like probably 90% of the NCRS members, and at times that is a distinct advantage in enjoying the society.....

                  Re: Clearing the Air

I still don't understand exactly why the coup was initiated. What was the end goal of this exercise?

Obviously the first step was to accomplish something before the National Convention in Mobile, but what? And then...? Was this whole thing about having written rules for protecting "whistleblowers" and filing amended tax returns? Those seem like pretty trivial reasons for generating all the drama over the last year.

I really don't get it. But, then again, I'm just a simple, one-celled mechanic without any Juilliard training in corporate law.

Board is elected by NCRS members. Our responsibility as members as to who is elected.

Folks got elected in their Regions because they advocated changes that a majority of that Region's voting members wanted. Turned out, at this time, they were a minority of NCRS Board Members that wanted change.

Whether status quo serves NCRS well, remains a question in my mind.

Well said David, and good to remember we members are responsible for our regional director, no one else.

I don't think coup is quite accurate. My information is limited to what's been shared by others, but I believe she resigned. In a coup, leaders are usually forcefully removed.

The coup to which Jerry refers was the one she staged a year ago when she exploited a loophole in the rules for her own advantage. At that time, NCRS President Mike Ingham was "forcefully removed".

Thanks Dave but I was referring to what transpired that brought this recent President into power. Again, I only have the info of what has been provided by others as I was not a party to any of these events, but I was under the impression that it was the board that brought her to power. But maybe that's not correct, and it was Regional Directors who did it, and maybe they're actually the same thing? I really haven't paid much attention to the administrative side of the organization and really am not very knowledgeable on what the organization's structure and bylaws are. And I didn't realize the coup referenced earlier was the one that brought her to power.

What "loophole" are you referring to?

I believe, Shannon was elected President by a vote of the NCRS Board.
