65 Knock off wheel date stamp

I have an early 65 corvette knock off wheel that should have the build date stamped in white ink. Does anyone have a to scale sample pic that I could get a stamp made or is one available for rent or sale anywhere?

I thought the stamp was inked in black,as they are for the 1964 knock-off wheels? you mighr try contacting NCRS menber Bill Williamson.

This image is from a NOS KO wheel I have owned for 45 years. Of course it was sold over the counter, so maybe dates on service parts differ?

black is more correct.

Slightly off topic. In my years of going to swap meets and judging events I have also seen the date
of the k/o punched in the wheel. Similar to the engine stamping. Picture below. This was a k/o that was
made in 1965 according to the punched date. Are these legit?? Or are all date stamps done with ink??

Looks to me like that is the KH part number which is cast into the wheel (not punched) ?

Where are you seeing a date code in this number (D-49985) ?

Mark: Look at the 3 O'clock position. About 2 1/2 inches from the hole. Date reads 0 9 8 65.

From what I have observed, early wheels(lighter color) 63-64, are most likely ink stamped, latest date I have seen is feb 1964, In 65 and 66 the darker wheels are hard stamped into the wheel.

Larry, wouldn't "09865" be September 8 1965 which would most likely make it an early model year 1966 wheel? You can also check the spolk color (if not repainted). Natural is 64, gray is 65, and dark gray/black is 66.
