Re: 63 Coupe
Start here then Corvette Forum C1-C2. No to auctions, ebay, craigslist, BAT??? difficult to parce out flippers but it seems like those are most likely where they lurk. Several wanted SWC buyers on CF but background check adviseable to determine there sincerity. Good luck, Bruce Green- Top

Carl I sold 3 cars through the drive line. All were good experiences. The first was a learning experience the looker was a judge from Connecticut he picked the car apart and then insulted me with his offer saying the car was for his wife. I asked him to leave. I later found out he was a flipper good luck.- Top

Re: 63 Coupe
Over the years, I have sold vehicles via Hemmings, eBay, Driveline, and BaT. If you are in a hurry, eBay will produce the quickest sale but not necessarily the most profitable. The other three have a longer time frame to get results. Using a publication dictates a long lead time before printing and some time before people actually read the ad. BaT is probably the most profitable because bidders have a resetting expiration time when late bids come in. The entire process from submitting the form to BaT and having the car picked up by a transporter took two months. They are in charge of your ad wording and timing so be prepared to be one of many, many commodities they are selling. Be aware of an unlimited number of ‘commentators’ and ‘experts’ that can complicate your sale during the week or more that your listing runs. My preference for any future sales would be BaT because of the worldwide exposure even knowing that the ongoing interactive narrative can get tedious.- Top

Arland,
Thanks for your feedback. So far, the submission through BAT has gone pretty well. So, we'll see what happens. I've seen those "commentators" through other ads on BAT, so I guess that goes with the territory.

Good luck, I sold one recently through BaT, and yes the amateur experts can get annoying, but there are also some very knowledgeable people who help you make your case too. Have to take the good with the bad. The best sale I made recently was when a well known dealer called me and said he had a client who had to have one of my cars. That is the easiest way, but you have to be lucky and have people who know about your car.Big Tanks In the High Mountains of New Mexico- Top
