    Ignition switch identification

    I have a couple of switches that have a 3 digit raised number on them. One has 635, while the other has 673. I thought these were Corvette switches. Can anyone enlighten me? Thanks, Jack J.

      The 635 is for a 63.

              The 1116673 is for a 66, found it in the archives.

                      The original switch number for 63 is 1116650 65 is 1116650 and 66-67 is 1116686.

                              Jack,

                              The numbers I used are in the GM Parts Catalog Under Electrical Systems 2.188.

                              The 653 Switch is exactly like the 650 switch and may be a replacement.

                              Maybe Joe L. will read this and explain the numbering system used by GM.
