Oliver, I can't comment regarding value but I'm curious regarding the verified French Export. What documentation were you able to obtain to determine what country it went to? Thanks

Beside the NCRS shipping report there is a tag in the engine bay of GM France. Ever since I have the car I have been tracing the owners history back. Since you got a new license issued whenever you move to a new French departement, the second owner might also be the first one, in case he relocated. However, no records about this final piece of puzzle have been obtainable.

I know that a Swiss 1965 396 Export car had much of the Warranty Plate information on the tag mounted on the inner fender.

Thank you Oliver. That is pretty good "paperwork". Somewhere in the French government archives there is probably a history of all the cars that were tagged like this. I know this car was labeled as "GM Overseas Distributors Division" delivery in the Shipping Data files.

              Hey Oliver,

Just out of curiosity, does your car have drum brakes or disc brakes?

Good luck with your continued search.

              Doug

It has power assisted disc brakes.
