Hi George,
Here is a picture I have in my 73-74 Revision files. It’s from an original 73 LS4 belonging to an NCRS member and one of our revision team members. Clear to see the orientation of the sticker. Not dead center! Most of the original 73-74 small block diverter valves had it (GL) applied the same way. BUT …when I put mine on my ‘73 small block I applied it straight up and down & dead center, looking at it from the front mounted on the engine! I wouldn’t be able to sleep at night looking at it turned sideways! But that’s just me! Seriously though, I doubt any of the guys really cared which way they stuck it on originally.

Hello George,

Here is a pic of the sticker placement on the Diverter Valve from my '73 L-82/ 4-speed. It is a one family owner car and the diverter valve/AIR pump was removed and placed in storage in 1976. I am confirming what Jimmy said about sticker placement in the above post. Thank you.
