My '54 Corvette recently had the engine rebuilt by Jasper Engines and it was leaking oil after I drove it 7 miles home. Finally narrowed it down to the main seal. The transmission was pulled and the rope seal replaced with a neoprene seal. After putting it back together it ran fine with no leaks on the rack including revving the engine manually. Two laps around the block and it's leaking again from the main seal.
Anyone have any thoughts on why it would only leak while driving?
Thanks.
