Turn signals

I just picked up a 65 coupe when I put the left signal on both front bulbs blink. When I put right signal on on the left blinks. Four way flashers were added to the car at the dealer in 1965. Any ideas ?

I should have said when I put the right signal only the right blinks. I am in the garage now 🛠️

That's a good one. I would start by looking at what was done to the harness when 4-ways were added. Do you see any homemade mods?

Also, ask the PO if they have ideas.. has it always done this, what was changed/repaired when this began,...

Electrical oddities can be fun. Years ago when I acquired my first Corvette (1973), the dome lights came on when the clutch was depressed. This led to replacing the dash harness.

Mark the problem turned out to be oxidation on the wiring harness terminals. Thanks for you reply
