IIRC he made up the name for it and went with it.

Nice car, yes. However, the name was hype.

This forum had a tough crowd with biting humor in 2005; hard not to chuckle a bit.

Thomas, don't let this curb your enthusiasm for the car. Looks great.

So this was Steve Walker's car at one time? Interesting.

Not sure who Steve Walker is...Goggle finds a reference to Corvette guy with that name but the car was a '67 Elkhart Blue Coupe w/ Lynndale Blue Stinger. Anyone care to educate me on Steve Walker and/or Tony Deanna?

                Back on topic...car is beautiful!

Steve Walker is a New Mexico member, he took over Pete Lindell's operation when he passed away. He campaigned the Elkhart Blue/blue 435 coupe to a Duntov award in 2022.

I was told that you could have ordered a matching top (rag-top) in the same "color" as the interior, and that looks like teal blue was an option for the top, just not what came with this one. it is definitely unique or maybe unusual is a better word.

Not all interior colors were available (e.g. no red tops) and I don't think you were restricted to just the interior color as a top color option besides black or white canvas.

                                Thomas,

In addition to what Jack mentions above, page 403 of Noland's book gives you the whole optional top story. Noland does not mention you could have a top the same color as the interior. If so, for '67, that would have left Red, Bright Blue, Saddle, and Green.

as Jack lists above - 1967 Soft Top Colors:
                                7,030 black (standard)
5,900 white (RPO C05 specifying white)
611 teal blue (RPO C05 specifying dark blue ~4.2% of all convertible production). The dark blue top replaced the beige top available from 1963 to 1966. I believe that color (dark blue) was only available in 1967...dunno if '68s and beyond had the same color top options or not ?

PS - I see on your tank sticker, you also have the RPO C07 auxiliary hardtop. Did that come along with your car, too ?
PPS - I also see you have RPO A82 Headrests (1,762 ordered). pages 401 and 402 of Noland's book gives you all the poop on them...

very nice car, indeed ! Best of luck with it.
                                thx,
