    1968 windshield top header

I am Restoring a 1968 convertible from a frame , body and the rest in boxes.
I have two windshield outer top header mouldings. They both have the same 90deg return on the rear side with the same cut out's and holes for U clips. At the front side they are different.
    One has a 5/8" 90deg return with 4 3/16" x 1/2" slots and 4 open angled slots.
    The other has a 1/8" x 1/8" double return with 6 open 1/8" x 1 1/2" slots.
So the question is , which one if any is correct for the car, build date is 4 - 17 - 1968.

    Thank you John.

I don't have a convertible here. I'll try and go into Jim's in a few days and take pictures of his 68 Convertible. It's a mid-May car.
Post a picture so I know what I'm looking for please...

        Re: 1968 windshield top header

Around the first of December 1967 to January 1968, GM changed the front corner alignment pin castings and moldings. The early casting are smaller than the later.
1968 Assembly Manual, UPC1 Sht F10 has rubber ink stamp saying "Information Transferred to UPC1, Sht 10.5". The last change record is dated 12-8-67 on that sheet.
UPC 1, Sheet 10.5 was released 10-19-68. Change Record 1 is dated 12-8-67.
If your car build date is before that, I would use the longer SS piece. If your car is dated after that, good chance it is a shorter piece.
        Just a guess ??
