Rebound Strap Rearend On or Off

I am installing my rebound straps on my 58 and already have the rearend disconnected as I am waiting on my leaf spring straps to arrive.

I was wondering if it is easier to install the rebound straps with the rearend disconnected from everything or if it's easier with the springs and everything hooked up. I know if everything is hooked up I will have to use wratchet straps to pull the rearend up since the body is off the frame.

Was wondering if anyone has done it both ways and which way they found easier.

I think with the rearend out of the way it would allow for more room for installing the straps.

    Anyone have a preference lol?

    Thanks,
    Jason

Re: Rebound Strap Rearend On or Off

Just installed the rebound straps on my 61. I waited until the body was back on the frame. Any amount of weight with the body on the frame will help with the installation. Also, I used the Mongoose tool to attach the rivets. In my opinion, it works better than some of the other tools. Best of luck!
