Early '63 chassis question

Were the top shock cups install before or after the chassis were dip? If after what was the finish? Not sure what else to call them. Thanks

They were installed before and were part of chassis when it was made.

Thank you Gary. Now trying to decide which to gun to use, my Schutz or Binks 62...going to do a pattern test on both to see how the asphalt lays down. decisions decisions decisions lol
