Re: 67 rear quarter behind wheel well coating
A photo would be helpful.
Per John Hinckley's C2 Assembly Process Presentation (available in the Database of Restoration Documents [DoRD] Sticky Post), here's all he says specifically relating to wheel wells (both of these in the paint shop prior to body drop):
After final bake, body was moved through a transfer area to the Black-Out Spray Booth, where the engine compartment, hood underside, cowl plenum cavities, and a large cardboard spray mask was used for the hood underside application, but no masking was used along the front edge of the hood inner panel.
Wheel well air-dry sound deadener/undercoat material was applied after the final bake oven and the black-out booth, with airless spray guns fed from 55-gallon drums; no masking or shielding was used, and care was taken to keep the material off exterior surfaces and away from the #3 body mount access hole.thx,

Keith,
For calcification, are you referring to the area on a 65/66 where the power antenna body is located? That is to say, the compartment aft of the rear wheel well proper?
