1967 small block fuel pump ID

This Delco pump was on a 67 L79 car with a 68 CE block but most of the correct L79 parts are there

Re: 1967 small block fuel pump ID

    Keith,
Looks like it could be an original pump.
Per the 7th edition of the '67 TIM&JG..."The last five digits of the part number (40433) are stamped into the flange that bolts to the engine block".

Leif I know at one time there was someone who was trying to figure out how to date them and the FG was the date?

Is there a year date inside the casting under the arm?
Early fuel pumps have them hidden there.

Mark the car came with a 68 casted 512 CE block. which I can presume was used to replaced under warranty.

Here's the original fuel pump off of my L79 VIN 16XXX. This works out to March 1967.
