Re: Removing Oil Filler Tube from an Aluminum Intake Manifold
Richard, I have removed and installed mine a number of times the past 59 years and only had a problem once. I let some light weight oil drip around the filler for a few hours and continually wiggled the tube until it came out. Each time I installed I pushed it back in the manifold with a light snug, no pressure and no problems since. Good luck! Steve- Top

Richard,
If spraying with Kroil Oil doesn't loosen it up. Spray the oil filler tube with CRC Freeze Off every 5 minutes for 30 minutes and then it should pull out.

A common CO2 fire extinguisher aimed at the tube will shrink it so it will come out. I use this all the time to install bearings that are a press fit the fire extinguisher will get it cold enough so they just pop in.Bill Strobel

Bill,
We used to use the freezing wart remover until CRC Freeze Off came on the market.
Fire Extinguish can be very messy.
