What can someone do with my FL scoresheets?

I'm selling my 1961 Corvette - got a TF at the Florida Regional in 2018. A "possible buyer" called me last night and the only thing he wants is my original score sheets before he "buys it".

HUH? What can someone do (scam) with the original sheets?

Possibly, if you have them send them, just keep a copy as your name is on them. In case he flips the car and changes something.

I'd only send him copies only with your information blacked out. If he buys your car, the originals can go with the car.

        Hi John,

Scan them (in color, of course) and tell him that's what he'll see when he comes to look at (buy ?) the car.
I don't consider his request to have the original score sheets unusual at all.
I agree with all of the above - don't let go of your originals for any reason other than the completed sale of the car.

Is he an NCRS member ?
        thx,
        Mark

Tell him if/when he buys the car you will gladly give him the score sheets.. Until then, send an email attachment of the particular sheets he most cares about.. If he says he's not interested in that arrangement, tell him thank you, and have a great rest of your week..
          (other buyers will come along)

            Make a copy.
            Insert a watermark.
Snip the document and black out the important info with the black highlight pen(in the snip tool).
Lock the ability to edit the document with a password.
Google if you need help and or need to add the snip tool. I like the tool with the protractor & ruler option.

Re: What can someone do with my FL scoresheets?

I want to see score sheets on cars I buy or buy for customers in order to determine the parts and and Labor required to bring it up to the level the customer is looking to achieve.
Sometimes a Flighted car can achieve the next level with very little work done in order to move up a Flight, or move from TOP FLIGHT to a DUNTOV candidate, sometimes it is nearly impossible due to factors which may be cost prohibitive to alter---the number one of which comes to mind is paint either application, color/metal flake content,or both.
Unless everything else is PERFECT missing both nearly guarantees the car will not score a 97%+ Top Flight at Nationals.

I subsequently talked to someone and the issue that the receiver could just erase the penciled information and substitute another person and VIN was raised. I scanned them into my 1961 Corvette folder. I also decided not to send them to him.
