Re: How valuable?
Jack,
I don't know the answer to your question in the subject line.
I do share your sentiment about parting ways with original parts.
I have the original set of cylinder heads and the replacement out of production valves, springs and seals for my car that I will never get rid of- Top

Re: How valuable?
Good Afternoon Jack--
I would suggest to keep it with your car. The next owner might prefer that the car be returned to original--I know that I would. Please have a great day/week!!Rob

Re: How valuable?
I also vote for keeping original parts with the car, unless they're just trash (used gaskets, burned out bulbs, etc.).
Years ago I acquired a '73 L82 from a fellow who just finished "improving" it by removing the AIR system, installing headers, aluminum intake and a shiny new Holley double pumper with a matching chrome air cleaner (which rendered the cowl induction ineffective).
Thank God he saved the original parts. The car ran much better when they were reinstalled.Mark Edmondson

Re: How valuable?
I agree I never throw away original parts. But then again I do tend to be a bit of a hoarder.- Top
