I need some help with some intake gaskets. I have a 67 390 and found a set of gaskets that in the past I used the square port gaskets. This kit had both square and oval port intake gaskets plus head gaskets, valve cover gaskets and distributor gaskets. The kit number is 6259322. On the gasket there is a part number of GM 353071. Can someone tell me if these are right?

Re: Help with oval port 67 390 hp intake gaskets
Keith,
These look like BB oval port intake gaskets. You can double check by comparing with the installed gasket and/or matching them to your head.
Unless you live in cold climate, consider a set that blocks or restricts the heat riser passage. ==> Cooler intake ==> Better performance and less chance of percolation.Mark Edmondson

Yes, these intake gaskets will work for any 1966-72 L-36, L-68, or LS-5. They are slightly different in configuration than the original gaskets mostly involving the "exposed" portions of the gasket, as installed. They are the 1969-72 configuration which became SERVICE for 1966-68.
This gasket set, which had several preceding part numbers, was discontinued in August, 1977 and replaced by GM #465397. The latter was discontinued without supercession in 1987.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
