    1970 Water pump stud

I know the water pump was painted with the engine and that the lower bracket for the alternator should be orange on my LT-1. Should the stud that all the brackets attach to on the upper water pump driver side, have orange paint on it? The alternator lower bracket is orange and the top adjusting bracket next to it is black so not sure when the stud was installed

The stud of which you inquire was installed at St. Louis and was black phosphate finished. No engine paint.
