What to keep and what to pitch at the end of the project

I finished my 69 L46 project this year, including judging (successfully) and am starting another project. I have one car in process and this next one i will be disassembling it for body dipping. I need to clear out some space in my "parts warehouse" for the new project and am trying to determine what to pitch or keep from the L46 project.

For example, in the pitch pile currently is the old convertible top, brake lines, fuel lines, e brake cables, clutch reverse lock out cable that was cut.

But on the bubble are the original but ratty side pipe covers, carpet set, rusty core support, seat covers and foam, interior trim parts, splash shields, ball joints, tie rods and steering linkage, front springs among other things.

There are other things that I should part with, but the moment I dump/sell it I will need it. Right? Any opinions?

What have you thrown out that you wished you kept?

I hold on to stuff for a year or two, but in most cases it could have all been trashed.

I don't know how bad the carpets are however I know of a few people looking for drivers side carpets for their survivors.
Someone spilled some battery acid behind the drivers seat on my susrivor and the carpet is kinda bad there, however I haven't found one which is as good as my drivers footwell area.

FWIW Sun Faded carpets can easily be dyed black using RIT dye..

carpets are fairly crummy. I will sit on the side pipe covers for now. I pitched what was left of the top. I'll wait a bit longer on some of the stuff and some I might sell. I scrunched up the rest of the stuff and made what I hope is enough room for the next project that I am starting today.
