Fastener torques for Holley 3810 carburetor

    Hello,

I've finally gotten back to putting the original Holley 3810 carb from my '67 back together. I cannot find torque values for the six clutch head screws that hold the secondary metering plate and gaskets to the carburetor body. They appear to be either 8-32 or 10-32 bolts. I've currently got them torqued to the lowest value on my in-lb torque wrench which is 10 in-lb. Is there a factory torque value for these bolts? Thank you in advance for any responses. Happy Holidays to all!

    Joe,

Unfortunately, specific torque values for individual components on carburetors may not be readily available in general documentation, as manufacturers typically provide assembly instructions without torque specifications for every screw or bolt.
When dealing with carburetors, it's essential to exercise caution and use good judgment. Over-tightening can lead to damage, especially on components that are made of softer materials. As a general guideline, snugly tightening the screws by hand and then giving them a slight additional turn with a tool is often sufficient.
