Joe, ha! My sentiments exactly. Love the refined sound of the OEM. A couple of potential buyers have asked, "how loud are they." I say too loud for my 74 year old ears, not loud enough for my past 17 year old ears. One person responded that he is 44. I said, just right for you! Thanks for the great response... Dave

Even when I was a young man, I hated the sound of loud, aftermarket mufflers. I also hated the sound of the 1965-67 and 1969 Corvette side exhaust mufflers. When I ordered my 1969 I would not even consider that option.

To me, the sound of the 1963-72 standard mufflers is the sweetest sound any car could have. The later Corvette mufflers are fine, too, but there's no exhaust sound as sweet as the 63-72. That's why I have a "lifetime supply" of these mufflers [none for sale]. If I live to be 500 years old, I think I'll have enough mufflers.
