64 convertible rear harness grommet ?

Read a lot of the posts which seem to be contradictory. On my 64 convertible - which way is the rear harness grommet installed? Smooth side on wheel well side and pointed end in the cabin? Or, the other way. It seems like the assembly boys would have installed it from the wheel well. Thanks.

Here is a pic of the rear wiring grommet on my '64 convertible IMG_20171111_120625_1.jpgfrom the wheel well side, not the best but hope it helps . Definitely looks as if this is the smooth side.

It's pushed in from the underside of the car. So Smooth side outside and pointed side in the car.
