We own 1957 C1 #E57S105417. It is the 270 hp version with two Carter 4 barrel carbs. The carb id numbers are correct. I have attached 2 photos of the air cleaner base, outside slotted body, air cleaner top, cleanable fiber filter element, and wingnut. The diameter of the components is correct. Both the front and rear carbs have identacal components. I am aware that the wingnuts are not correct. I have researched in the NCRS information manual and judging guide, and other resources, but have been unable to determine if these are the correct parts for my car. All of the aftermarket reproductions are very different from my parts. Can anyone please help me determine if I have the correct air cleaner components for my car? Thanks!

Re: 1957 C1 Air Cleaner
Ronald,
There are good photos and measurements for the 2x4 air cleaners in the '56-7 Judging Manual.
The outside of the top has 8 columns of 4 louvered vent. The bottom has mesh wire in the section that's over the carb opening.

Re: 1957 C1 Air Cleaner
Hello Gary,
Thank you for your prompt reply! My Judging Manual is the Fourth Edition, which does not have the photos and measurements. I will need to get the 6th edition ordered. I appreciate your help!Attached Files- Top
