          Thanks Joe. I purchased the wrong replacement gasket and installed it. The picture you posted is just like the one that I took off the car. The one I purchased and installed has the two extra holes in it. It fits, but, I now know its the wrong one. I'm stilll not sure why there are two small 1/4" holds in the gasket, just like the holes in the valve? Must be the mounting base was a standard part jused on other model EGRs valves and the holes get coverd up on the BB engines. Hope I don't break off one of the 3 tabs on the French lock removing the bolt again.
