    1957 FI voltage regulator number

I'm helping a friend with his 57 FI car. It has a 1119002 voltage regulator with all the numerals in a straight line (with the 1119 in smaller font than the 002). It is dated March 1957, which is right for his car. My 56-57 JG (admittedly an old one) calls out 1119001 for all 57 VR's. I've heard conversation in the past about the 283/283 VR being a different number, and a 35-amp vs. 30-amp on the others. Is there any basis to the 9002 usage in 57? I know the 9002E was used in 62, but 9001 in 61. Thanks in advance.

    Mike,

Have only seen 9001's, even on an AirBox that was a basketcase.
