Sure, quite a few have have. I've been recommending the LT-1 cam for all 327 mechanical lifter engine rebuilds since long before the internet. It's also a good choice if you want to go with a mechanical lifter cam on L-79 or L-46.

The best documented are the two prototype "327 LT-1" engines that I developed that were built and tested by two volunteers. It's probably easiest to find the lengthy threads on the design, build, testing, and all the dumb comments from the morons in the peanut gallery on the Corvette Forum.

Search the C2 forum for threads started by "ghostrider20" and "Dave McDufford", circa 2006.

Search the Web for Hinckley Williams valve adjustment paper (09-08 revision) for the interesting story of the origin of the LT-1 cam lobes.

I started my career as a Pontiac production engineer and recently documented a couple of "war stories" in the "John Hinckley memoir" thread that you can find in the "sticky" section.
