    I've been a member for about 3 years, but just had a friend show me the forum today. I have two Corvettes, a 2023 Stingray coupe and a 1964 Coupe, red/red, 327/300, M-20. Not many options on this one. No PS, PB, or air. This picture was taken a week ago at the chapter meet in Hubbard, OH. It was a good weekend as I drove it a hair over 100 miles to the meet and earned a chapter Top Flight. Looks like I have some reading to catch up on here at the forum.

      Welcome and thanks for showing us your '64. I love '64s, I have taken 4 through judging all the way through the Nationals. They are my favorite C2, and by far the best value and best quality for money in the C2 universe. Red/Red is quite a nice color combo, enjoy and hope to see you around this TDB and especially the NCRS meets with that car, or as a Sportsman with your C8.

          Hi Ed, Sorry I missed seeing this. You are correct. The engine is the base 230hp. It is not a heater delete, and I am happy to have it during the cooler days of early Spring and Fall in MN. We do what we can, but honestly, we haven't had to do much to the car. She's a survivor, and because my dad was an old parts guy back in the late 60's, he stockpiled a lot of NOS parts in case they would ever be needed. I love the early vettes as well. Most of the judging my husband and I do are on the C-1's. Sounds like you had a real gem as well.

I have walked in your shoes, mine was a 57 270HP radio/heater delete, with an AQ 4.56 rear end Posi. It was a drag race car from 57 to 70, I found it as a basket case in 1999, 2 1/2 years later I put it through NCRS, which started my C-1 judging career. Life is good.

            Hi All: I was a member in the late 90's, let it lapse and rejoined a few months ago. I had bought a basket case 67 L-71 in 1998 and it ended up taking me over 10 years to finish it. I had it for 22 years. I was Corvette-less for over 3 years and this summer purchased a 67 L-79 convertible from a friend. It came with a folder full of documents, he was the 3rd or 4th owner. I have the Protecto-Plate, tank sticker and I think the order form is in there too. The car is loaded with options, 1 of 336 convertibles with L-79 and C60 according to Noland Adams. It has led a charmed life and was treated well by past owners, I think the only thing that isn't original on the engine is the carb. It has a few minor things I need to straighten out, it has sat a lot over the years. Once I get everything dialed in I'd like to have it judged. I'm not a stranger to Corvettes, I had a beautiful 1 owner 73 once upon a time and worked in a Corvette repair shop in the mid-late 70's.
