    No correct sets available?

The ones that were on the car previously were 3/4-1” wide.
The ones from Corvette Central (LL?) are about 1/2” wide or a bit less.

The JG calls for 9/16-5/8” wide straps.

    Any suggestions appreciated.

        Gary,

Not my car, so I think if there are none available we'd take the hit.
If it were my car I might do it if I were bored. I'm not bored.

It's just surprising that no one seems to care enough to reproduce these correctly.

          Patrick,

And with any further consolidation of companies making reproduction parts, there will be fewer companies that care enough.

            Patrick,

Probably best to get originals. See below, iirc, from a '59 or '60. I had these for years, but no more, as they were sold.
This is what they look like. (Center of the photos) Sorry, I'd have made measurements and better photos if I only knew.

If you want, I can try to find where they went. Maybe they're collecting dust.

              Patrick,
If I am not mistaken, this company said they could make new ground straps using the original terminals for my 51 Chevrolet. Maybe they could help here.

                Thanks Jeff.

Unfortunately I don’t think either set in our possession is an original. That makes it difficult to provide correct ends to make new straps.
Someone could use reproduction ends to make correct ones, but that seems like the wrong rabbit hole to go down….

Sources of used ones appreciated, but we may have to put this simple fix on the “difficult to do” list. I’ll discuss with the owner as well.
