    '67 Speedminder alarm/buzzer volume ?

    Hello;
    i can not hear the speedminder buzzer w/ side exhaust noise.

    7S102642 has the small buzzer attached to the Zbar behind the dash cluster.

    Does anyone know if the larger buzzer that looks like a horn relay is noticeably louder?

    Thank YOU
    Ray
    And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
    I hope you dance

      Hello; good point. The small buzzer/alarm is connected to the Zbar with plastic cable ties.
      Thanks.

        It should be screwed fast to the bird cage. But to be honest just last week I drove my dad's 67 L79 with GM side pipes and set the speed warning dial and I could barely hear it with the windows down. Even in my Chevelle with speed warning I sometimes have trouble hearing it with the windows down.

          A 67 427 car I restored had the speed warning. All parts were original in great shape as was the buzzer relay which tested good. Even with N11 exhaust the speed warning sound was not very loud. I remember having the radio off and the windows up to hear it better.
          I may have a replacement buzzer here. If I find it, I'll see how loud it is.
