    Mark,

Here's a picture of an original 63 U.S. Royal Safety 800 on the left with a Diamondback Auburn on the right. They usually plan on making 1" whitewalls but since the Safety 800 had a 7/8" whitewall, I sent them some pictures and they made a set to match the originals. They aren't on the car yet but I have used Diamondbacks for 25 years on daily drivers and collector cars without any issues whatsoever.

A friend of mine recently put the Diamondback Auburn Classic gold line radials on his '65 convertible after removing the bias ply tires and loves them. They have the Michelin tread pattern on them.

I bought a set of the Auburn red lines for my 66 Chevelle SS396 four years ago. I love the looks and ride. hendrick.jpg

I'll confess that a set of Diamondback redlines ended up on my 67 Buick Sportwagon.

That's a good looking tire!! Do you mind me asking what they charged for that?

                Tim,

Diamondback sent out the typical 'Black Friday Special' email last November so I called the day after Thanksgiving. The special was 'no shipping and no tax' so the total for each tire was $295. They are really easy to work with to produce exactly what the customer wants.
