1963 Spare Tire Locking & Housing Bolts

After reviewing the previous threads and Noland Adams book, it appears the two housing bolts (only one shown in the photo) that I have are the first design which would be incorrect for my late March car. The retaining/locking bolt looks to be the correct (latest version) but the adjustment swivel should be painted black (the one in Noland Adams book shows all black). Seems like a million things changed in March. Please let me know if my evaluations are correct.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Fred

Yep, lots of changes. I will continue to look for the correct 2 hanging bolts. Thanks Ed.

Fred I believe the early bolts are worth more than any of the other bolts. They are rare.

I believe the bolt on the right came off a very late 63.

Here is a pic of some bolts. Original 63's and an NOS bolt. Bracket for a 63 also.

Thanks for all the pics - will see what kind of luck I have finding the second design bolts.

                Fred,

Here's a few shots of bolts from a late July 63. There has been no mention of the markings on the heads of the long bolts but as well as these can be deciphered, the three sets of two characters are R | H - | A O | M on the bolt head shown. The other one has a different set of characters that appear to be A | R R | - A | O. I have no idea what any of that means but just wanted to put it out there.

Thanks for all the photos. I actually need the third/later design for a March car which has the "shoulder" at the threaded end. I have located a couple pairs @ $150 ea. pair. Repros are a lot cheaper of course but not sure of the differences in the head markings. The letters stamped should be ARMOR with 3 slash marks.

Now that you have spelled it out, those crude cast letters do read A R M O R - and it has the three slash marks from the center outwards!
