    1970LT-1 TCS query

I've been asking all over about this. Before I hack up an lectric limited engine harness, trying to get an answer.

Did the 70 come with a jumper extension for the TCS connection to the temp sensor? The LL harness has the green wire continuous from the harness to the temp sensor.

My LT-1 as well as my L-46 had the jumper. LL is standing firm on 70 not having it. Knowing there were other changes for" new ideas" from 70,(hl washers moved, studs to screws, front grilles, etc. )

Maybe the solid wire burnt so often, needing a spliced repair, that for 71 on, there was the jumper?

Thanks Gary. Are you with or without jumper?

Thanks Mark. Early or late car? Maybe a mid year change. Here's a good pic of the jumper.

I thought all 1970s used a pigtail/jumper for TCS. Have you seen one that's different?

I'll look, but believe the CSM shows a connection. I think Doc Rebuild's diagram shows a connector too.

I thought so as well. My 2 70's have it. Lectric limited harness doesn't have it, and insists 70 didn't have it. No info one way or the other in my 6th edition tim/jg

Check the CSM diagram. It shows connections.

Okay, I take back my last comment. That's what I get for going by memory instead of looking.

Now I need to look at Doc Rebuild's diagram.

Haven't had anyone say they have a harness without the pigtail. I don't know where to go besides lectric limited.

My 70, Vin 14,544, a July 5th built car, has the extension, which plugs into the harness near one of the wire loom fold-over tabs. First picture.

                          20240518_173856[1].jpg

My 71, also has the extension. It's a November 25th, 1970 build car. Very similar location.

I have access to an early 70, I'll look at it tomorrow.

                            Corvette Central sells the pigtail:
                            https://www.corvettecentral.com/c3-6...harness-663167

Maybe the also sell the complementary connector you can add to the engine harness.
