    1973 Intake manifold masking

I'm painting an intake manifold for my 73 coupe (L48, auto, air). I've left some of the EGR and choke pad area unpainted, now I'm wondering if that is the correct way to go. I haven't found guidance for this in the TIMJG. Any ideas?

Typically, locations where parts bolt to the manifold especially where sealing or alignment is important, are not painted.
