1956 Glove Box Trim

I am confused as to how to attach the top two pieces of Stainless trim on the glove box. There are 4 clips, 2 on each piece and screws that hold them to the glove box. The AIM shows the screws going in from the top and the fibreglass confirms this from the old screw holes. What I don't understand its how you get the trim on and the screws tight so trim is snug.
I know I am missing something here??

I think you mount the clips, then slide the trim over the clip. Good luck.

Not sure about this as I'm away from the car, but if the 3728727 clip is the flat, kinda diamond shaped one with two rounded corners and two sharper, you insert the clip into the back of the trim piece and rotate CW to lock it in place (you may have to try it a couple of times to get proper orientation but you'll know when it's correct), then mount the trim to the glove box lid, insert and tighten screws.

Believe it or not, the trim just snaps over those upper clips, and the lower trims also. The rotating clips are for the long door trims as you can get to the backside.
