    Which is correct? '63 UPPER A-ARM BUSHING RETAINER GM 9785742

    Retainer on left came off the '63, right is what I have for replacement PN 9785742...Thanks

    The original upper a-arm bushing retainer was GM #3710586. It was discontinued in March, 1977 and replaced by GM #9785742.

        The one on the left side of your first photo is the original and of the original configuration. The one in your last photo, although rust-covered, is the same configuration. The 9785742, while completely functional, is not of the original configuration.
