For that reason alone, I never reuse locking hardware. I just keep a stock of Black and Cad lock washers in all sizes. I don't want to take the chance that I don't see a crack and put compromised hardware back on a car.- Top

Agree on lock washers. What about bolts? Or flat washers that do not look compromised. I am a re use it originality bigot...but there are limits***************
