Confusing Window Sticker

I came across this image of a window sticker online. It appears to be from a 1965 Corvette, but the date in the upper right hand corner reads July 14, 1972. Can someone offer an explanation for this? If this is a fake, it is a good one. Thanks. See attached file.

A friend found this while surfing and sent it to me a few days ago.

You're right- it's a 1965 sticker with a 1972 date. The upper right corner near the date has some staining or something similar going on. The date's font also looks a bit different. Why would someone put a 1972 date on a 1965 window sticker? No idea.

The car ('65, #20460) is listed on the C2 registry with this notation:

Previously owned by Rick Race and Dr. M.F. Dobbins. This car is featured in Dr. Dobbins 63-67 Corvette Fact Book.

As I said on Facebook. Its a fake. The fonts are bad, it’s missing the Ident number and it has a date in the place where the Ident number should be. And nothing lines up properly. I could go on but that should be enough.
Below is a real one. Look at all the differences.

Ed is correct, it is a reproduction window sticker and had a lot of issues. Thanks for posting the factory window sticker, I didn't have this one in my database
