    OMG C-8 for 2025

I just watched a film of the new 2025 C-8. Small block, twin turbo, 1064 Hp. driven at 207 MPH. Have no idea what the cost will be but it is a track ready, full aero, ceramic brakes, front luggage compartment is gone, due to the cooling requirements, They even have a convertible version minus some of the track elements. Hope we see one of those in Hampton Rhodes. WOW! 1064 HP IN A 3700 LB. ROCKET. DUKE, how do you like that power to weight ratio. Look out Italy, England, France and Japan. This is the USA version of full blown race car for under 300K. The film is one !!!!! YouTube. Another ZR-1

Hey Ed, I need one of these rocket ships to cut the drive time for my weekly four mile round trip to Ralphs, but at my age the 1.5+ g it'll pull with all the downforce at only 150 MPH will probably G-LOC me like some F-16 pilots, but I'm sure I can design a camshaft that will make more power.

I did watch the reveal. It is a rocket ship. Weight may be closer to 4,000 pounds. Capable of running a 9.7 1/4 mile at over 150 mph! I am on the ZR1 list. The 24 Z06 I have presently is PLENTY fast but another 400 horses would be fun. I'm betting a 1LZ will sticker around $150,000 with loaded convertibles over $200,000. 1,064 horsepower with over 800 ft lbs of torque and throughout a very wide RPM range. Split window on the coupe and it's functional for cooling.
We thought big blocks were fast. Crazy times.

Paul; Wait another year or two and you can add 200+ to that figure(1064 Horsepower) with the "Zora" model! Larry

Geo I will be a plot in the dirt waiting to have that one judged. I will be satisfied with the Wallace next year in Vegas. Have almost filled my bucket list.

Larry, I'm just not a big fan of electric. I am saving the planet with my E-Gator though.

My favorite part of the reveal is when Juechter said at full throttle the exiting exhaust contributes over 30 pounds of thrust with visible flames.

At WOT about 30 percent of the fuel's energy is thrown out the exhaust. Of course, on a turbocharged engine a good portion of this energy is recovered to compress the inlet air so it's pretty impressive that there's still measurable exhaust thrust.

On typical turboprop aircraft engines, exhaust thrust adds about ten percent of propeller thrust to total thrust.

I had been waiting on the ZR1 variant for the C8, since I have had several ZR1s. But, I do not like the big hole in the hood that takes away the fronk and looks like a kiddie pool stuck in the hood. I know they need extra cooling and all, but that really hurts the design elements, IMO.

Michael it is functional, but I agree it is not aesthetically pleasing to say the least.
