    More Sad News - Gary Mortimer

    NCRS Members,

    I had a phone call from member Steve Hack just now letting me know that NCRS Founding Member #1 Gary Mortimer has passed away. Steve did not know the details beyond the fact that Gary' health has been deteriorating for some time. Steve will pass along service details when they are available and I will add them to this post. My thoughts and prayers go out to Sharon and Eric and the rest of the family at this difficult time.

      Never had the privilege of meeting Gary, but as founding member numero uno I have enormous respect for him. Condolences to his entire family, both real and extended.

                      Gary was my first contact at the NCRS. Talked with Eric this past January and he said his Dad was doing Badly! Gary was a great guy and a tribute to the NCRS. My thoughts are with Eric and Sharon during this sad time!

                              I just spoke to Eric at Carlisle and asked him to say hello when he got home. Gary always stopped down to my flea market spaces for a visit.
                              He did a lot for our hobby for many years. He will be missed by many of his friends. Condolences to his family. RIP Gary

                                          One of the greats in what used to be a hobby. He helped keep us together for years and years. My condolences to Sharon, Eric and all the rest of the family. Another great friend lost.
