A fluid extractor is what you need , habor freight sells the as well as any boat supply store . A lot of inboard engines on boats the only way to change the oil is out the dip stick tube. it would be easiest to just drain out some into a clean pan and correctly refill- Top

Running one quart over FULL is not big issue. Back in the day I always ran a quart over (on purpose) to try and always have more than enough oil at high RPM for a sustained period ("spirited driving"and high speed road runs.

.) Never an issue. For most driving I would recommend a 1/2 quart over FULL anyway. I still do this to this day.

How about removing the filter...empty it out... reinstall... start up engine and warm up... then check level with the car on a flat surface. The best way to check oil is with the engine fully warmed up. Remove and wipe down dipstick. Leave the dipstick out for a few minutes to let the oil in the dipstick tube drain down. This will give you a clean reading. A good time to do this is at the gas station.
BTW, racers back in the fifties and early sixties before dry sumps were allowed ran a quart over or better. I ran my Cosworth Vega a quart over for track events. IIRC the 2001 Z06 owner's manual recommended a quart over for track events.
It's strange that owner's manuals typically have dire warnings about "overfilling" the oil, but little to nothing about running too low on oil.
Consider on a V-8 engine there's a couple of quarts or more up in the engine trying to get down to the pan and the higher the revs the more there is up there.
I recall a You Tube video where some English guys experimented with oil levels on a small I-4 mounted on a dyno. It didn't seem to be a serious problem until the was double or more the recommended quality at which point it spewed out out all the breathers on the engine.

Overfilling is risky. The oil is closer to the crank which makes it more susceptible to aeration.Gary:

How do you know how much overfill is too much? You don’t. Until you spin a bearing.
I suppose more oil is topside during sustained high rpm use, so racing teams may overfill. Or do they just use a dry sump? Either way, that doesn't apply to most of us.Mark Edmondson

1 Quart is 57.75 cubic inches. I measured a V8 pan I have and came up with a sump area of about 50 in sq. So 1 quart would raise the level 1". Even so, I agree that the OP's "1 quart over" is a nothing burger.
I work on boats and yachts. Not all marine engine manufacturers provide means to extract the oil from the sump such as the OP is inquiring about. On V8s the dip stick tube usually doesn't extend to the bottom of the sump. Inserting a suction tube down the dip stick tube doesn't work because the ID of the tube is so small, you'll be there a week trying to get the oil out. I came up with two methods:
Remove a valve cover and insert the 3/8" suction tube through a drain back hole.
Remove the oil pressure sender and install an 1/8" fitting and a hose and fire it up. As soon as the hose starts 'spitting' shut it off. No 'damage' is going to occur at idle speed. Yes, a bit of old oil remains in the engine; so what? In my case, it's a boat.
I don't know how accessible the oil fittings behind the distributor are in a C2, (the shielding is probably in the way) but pumping it out by running the engine would be the least messy and easiest.
EDIT/ADD: Actually, the "easiest" will be to remove the drain plug and let some out.- Top
