    61 Side Trim T Studs

IMG_4272.jpgIs there a technique of installing these T studs on the side trim of my 61? I do not remember having trouble with these on my 56. Do people use dum dum or a needle nose to help set these studs in place. Maybe the problem is my old hands. Thanks!

I use 3-M black caulking strips cut to about 1/4" per the t-studs. mike

Here is some more info regarding the side molding clips with a tip from John Hinckley.

Thanks! I did use the 3M strip caulk. I also used a marker to identify where the clips would go. I was able to wipe off the marker marks after installation. I used NOS clips, and I did snap one, so do not over tighten them.

When I removed my Dec 56 originally installed pieces in summer of 65 they had black dum dum holding them in position.

My 56 "4200" did not have dum dum securing the original clips.
