I have the original switch from my 66, would like to sell but want to ensure it works properly. I don't have my car anymore; can I test somehow with a multimeter? Thanks in advance!

Re: C2 Headlight open control switch
I assume you are talking about the up/dn switch inside the car......
It will have 3 poles (connection points) Using an Ohm meter, with the switch "at rest" the circuits will be open. Push the switch to "up" and you should see continuity between 2 of the poles. Push the switch to "dn" and you should see continuity between the 3rd pole and the common pole.- Top

Re: C2 Headlight open control switch
Stephen, you are correct. Just checked and switch is functioning properly. Can't seem to remember why I replaced (But that was 25+ years ago!). I have it on Marketplace if anyone is looking for one. Thanks for your help!!

Re: C2 Headlight open control switch
Just because it has continuity doesn’t necessarily mean it’s ok. Contacts could be burned and not work when attempting to switch the high current required to move the motors. Or maybe not.
Hope it works out.

Re: C2 Headlight open control switch
Hi Rich, never considered that. Could be why I replaced it many years ago. Are these switches serviceable? I noticed on eBay there are a lot of just switch housings. Are you aware of any Tech Article detailing taking one of these apart and refurbishing?
Thanks!
