85 instrument panel fliickering????

I believe my stock 85 dash flickers due to a loose ground wire. Lighting brightness is fine, graphics and text flicker and are intermittent and incomplete. Factory initial start up tests OK. All other items on the circuit light up properly (clock, radio, turn signals, etc).

Cannot find grounds, service manual to vague. It indicates one is on A pillar, but where? Does anyone have photos of instrument panel grounds?

Ed, you may want to look at the CorvetteForum webpage and search on 1985 Instrument Panel Flicker. The threads there suggest one of the main causes tends to be broken solder joints of the internal circuit board connectors.

Hope it turns out to be a loose ground wire, but I doubt it will be that simple.

I agree. When I had the IP repaired on my '84 several years ago the repair shop said there were several broken solder joints and it was a common problem causing early IP problems/failures.
