Another post that brought up NHTSA recalls on engine mounts got me curious...

What follows is an extract sorted by model year (and options for some years) from NHTSA's website for all Corvette:

1. Recalls (Column 1 to the right of the model year (186 entries);
2. Investigations (Col. 2) (82 entries);
3. Complaints (Col.3) (10,031 entries); and
4. Manufacturer Communications (Col.4) (56,891 entries) !

I created this in Excel, but VBulletin is not very "Table friendly" (or at least I don't know to work with it very well - sorry)
I thought it interesting that there were recalls and issues in their database that precede NHTSA's creation in 1970

The 2nd recall listed for the 1966 model year had me rolling my eyes.

One rear wheel on a 1966 Corvette comes off 30 years later, in 1996. Who do you think was more likely the cause of that problem? GM? Or an inattentive owner/repair person?

Thanks for all the work you did on the matrix. Very useful.

Just a note which may be helpful. The low headlight issue on my 2008 convertible I purchased earlier this year was corrected under the Customer Satisfaction Program in 2021 which was issued for the 2008 - 2013 models. Was a recall item on previous C6 models. Still many complaints shown on this shown by NHTSA in later C6 models. Hopefully GM is still covering this problem. Carfax did not report the issue but fortunately my local Chevy dealer gave me a copy of a GM Global Connect report on my car which showed the issue had been addressed.

Having trouble with my 65 N03 gas sending unit. I wonder if there is a recall ? 😅😅
