What is the correct carburetor code date for my 1966 car.

I have a 1966 300Hp corvette ,4 speed. Build date is September 30th 1965.Engine date is 9/1/65. What would be the correct build date carb for my car.I was thinking 581,582,583,584,585 or would a 591 work also.Do you think I can get away with a 591 date code carburetor?

For your September 30, 1965 assembled car...any Holley 4160, List 3367 (if a non AIR car) dated 551-592 would work. Your engine assembled on September 1 was installed without the carburetor. Final assembly of September 30 allows a carb dated 591, 592 even a 593 could have squeezed in there. Best of luck sourcing a correctly dated carburetor for your car.

I believe it should be a List 3367 and a 3884505 carb to be period correct.I have not seen any 551-585 at all.I have seen some early 591 and 592 out there.Just was not sure if the 591 and 592 would be period correct. Thank you for responding to my post.
