I am struggling with my fuel delivery. I am not getting any fuel to the fuel pump. I had discovered that there was a deteriorated filter on my sending unit. I took it out replaced the filter and flushed the sending unit out. I tried starting the car and had No fuel at the carb. When I took things apart at the fuel pump there was no fuel there. I can pull some fuel through a large syringe at the fuel pump hose, but it will not flow freely and stops flowing when there is no vacuum. When I moved back to the rear of the car I pulled the hose down from the frame and all of the fuel that was in the tank did come out very strongly. Is there a reason why that line would not do the same at the hose at the fuel pump hose? It is still all lower than the tank. I flushed the long steel line once earlier in the process with air. I thought it was open. I took the fuel pump off and there was a some debris in the inlet of the fuel pump. I cleaned it out and left it off. Shouldn’t the fuel now pour out of the hose that would be hooked up to the fuel pump if I add gas back to the tank. Everything is brand new it’s on a fresh restoration. Pictured is the line I disconnected and the fuel poured out. Do you think I have junk in the line? How Should I clear it if so? What can I use to flush? The syringe I have isn’t that big and only holds 30 cc.
